1,000 old drawers transformed into unique, sustainable cabinets

Design Direct has undertaken the project of recycling 1,000 old drawers into creative, colorful pieces of furniture. A new wooden casing has been fashioned for each drawer, making it possible to create free-standing chests or attach them directly to the wall.

This project saves furniture elements full of potential from the landfill and creates new pieces without consuming additional raw materials or generating the emissions necessary to treat those raw materials.

Each one-of-a-kind piece comes stamped, numbered and complete with a certificate.
